It was two years after the death of Claudette. Theodore was a toddler and practically being raised by his sisters with Aeneas being as busy as he was with the Dark Lord's bidding. The Death Eater takeover had come with its many benefits and Aeneas couldn't have been happier with the work he was doing, but he also had lost something dear to him when his wife passed.

He would never admit that he missed her, but others noticed the change. He was crueler, harsher, and more determined than ever to rid the world of the plague that was Muggles. He was notorious for his cruelty and inhumane treatment of others, and his name struck fear into the hearts of millions.

And that was why Agnes O'Hare was the only person brave enough to seduce him.

It had somehow leaked that Aeneas Nott was in possession of one of the Dark Lord's Horcruxes, and by this time the Order of the Phoenix was getting desperate. Their numbers were dwindling and they weren't getting anywhere with any of their other plans, and they knew that getting this Horcrux would be a large blow to You-Know-Who. The plan was for someone to pose as an unwed Pureblood and marry him, steal the Horcrux, and escape. They'd studied the cases of his previous second and third wives, the ones whom all died mysteriously within a few months of marrying him, and formulated a plan. Unfortunately, no one was willing to carry the plan out. Nott was repugnant, scary, and all-around horrifying.

Well, everyone but Agnes. She was scared of him all right, but the physical aspect didn't bother her too much. She didn't like the plan too much, but she would do it, and after only two months she was Mrs. Aeneas Nott.

Nott was severely reprimanded for losing the Horcrux and being tricked, but Agnes got something something else she didn't expect: a pregnancy.

Gaia was born a few months after she escaped from Nott Manor and though others suggested Agnes not tell him about his beginning, Agnes felt like she couldn't do that to the child. He coped with it surprisingly well, and told his children later on in life that he was a product of the Dark Lord's downfall.

Each time his eyes skimmed one of Elsie Prod's journal entries and he saw his own name, without fail Demetrius Mulciber would have to write something to her.

It was always a "What are you talking about?" at first and then it shifted into a "I wouldn't do that," and later into a more playful "I didn't do that." Time passed and it became "You're rather crazy, lady," and a few times it was even "Well he's an idiot, if it were me then I'd..."

Then one day Demetrius Prod died, something about an argument with over the dishes and though it was in the paper a while it was eventually ruled a misfortune accident. The bruises on her arms from various hexes cast during arguments made the Wizengamot pity her, and even though they all knew she fired that hex that made him fall and hit his head on the corner of the counter, and she walked out of the Ministry that day.

Demetrius Mulciber was the only one to notice that those bruises hadn't been in the picture she'd just taped into her journal the day before the "accident," a picture she ripped out the moment she got back home to Glasgow.

It was another week before she wrote in her journal again, but she made no mention of her deceased husband. Nor did she ever write about him again, and after a month of writing she finally got one reply in that familiar handwriting, this time hexed just to her.

I'm almost sad you're husband's gone - I have no excuse to write to you anymore.

Almost?

Meet me at Unicorn's Cellar at seven tonight.

What?

For dinner.

Why should I?

You want to, trust me.

No I don't. Why?

I seem to remember a certain photograph...

They met for dinner that night where she amused him and intrigued him. Certainly she was no pureblooded woman, but her manners were decent enough and except for her argumentative streak (clearly a result of being Glaswegian) and her accent (again, Glaswegian), she wasn't actually too common. She had, after all, married up to a fullblood then murdered him and covered it up, and though Ferdinand, being friends with the dearly departed, was rather unhappy about it, Demetrius was rather amused by it.

Without a doubt he wouldn't find that amongst the pureblooded women. And if she, having not murdered anyone, had been good enough for a fullblood, then clearly, with a murder under her belt, she would be good enough for a pureblooded Death Eater.

Elsie, on the other hand, thought he was a bit too uptight and poncy, but he wasn't half bad in the looks department and they did get on rather well. Were it not for pressure from the Order of the Phoenix (hoping she could spy on the other purebloods who were Death Eater suspects) she probably wouldn't have married him, but after a year of marriage and very few arguements, she realised she actually might possibly love him.

It was all very strange for her, since she did grumble about him just as much because he wouldn't argue with her. But no one ever said Elsie was a rational witch.

Part 2

Their marriage went along swimmingly at first and after a few years began to get a bit boring until the Order received a mysterious photograph in the mail of Demetrius taking off a Death Eater's mask. Coincidentally, there was a mysterious photograph given to Rodolphus Lestrange showing Elsie with Dumbledore and other known vigilantes. Abe told Elsie it was her responsibility to take care of him, while Rodolphus ordered Demetrius to kill Elsie.

After a few "mild" attempts on each other's lives, fueled by a mutual sense of betrayal, the marital spat culminated in a heavily-armed battle in the Mulciber house. After a long, evenly-matched fight, with their house in utter destruction, they wound up with wands in each other's faces. Demetrius balked, and laid his wand down; Elsie found she could not shoot her spouse either, and both succumbed to their love instead. Mr. and Mrs. Mulciber reunited and rediscovered each other. (Mr. Mulciber later stated "We'll have to redo every conversation we ever had.")

However, the newly-rekindled Mulciber partnership was quickly threatened by their employers, who decided to eliminate the couple. Demetrius's best friend and fellow Death Eater, Severus Snape, turned down a bounty of 40,000 Galleons for each Mulciber, but Dem and Elsie found themselves under fire from a small army of other assassins. Fending off an attack which leveled their house, the Mulcibers borrowed their neighbor's brooms and successfully destroyed three pursuing attackers, all while bickering over their fighting styles and newly-discovered personal secrets.

After meeting with Sev, the Mulciberss decided to forgo their separate factions and make their stand together. Working smoothly together as a team, the Mulcibers defeated an extended attack by a large number of Death Eater and Order members during a long battle inside the Leaky Cauldron.

This story ends at the marriage counselor, where the happy Mulcibers state how much their marriage has thrived, realizing how happy they really are. They reveal that they are pregnant, and in a few months little Demetrius Mulciber Jr will be born.
